FASH FORWARD EVENT

Yesterday afternoon, I had the honor of speaking in front of several brand new models who are working to improve and build their portfolios. I was asked to share my experiences and insight by FASH Forward, a company designed to coach models who are new to the industry.

We met at Ida Claire in Addison for appetizers and cocktails, and I couldn't have been more excited to play a part.

I was able to talk with these models about their careers and give them a little insight into the modeling industry. I spoke of what led me to fashion photography and gave tips on building their Instagrams into a secondary portfolio. I was able to share the importance of learning and perfecting angles, the idea of treating every shoot like your "big break", and maintaining a positive attitude on and off set (of course!).

I could not be more excited about this opportunity to share what I have learned over the last two years of working with modeling agencies. It was an honor to be invited to speak, and I look forward to more of these opportunities in the future!

HUGE thank you to the beautiful ladies above who invited me and to Courtney, who shared his styling expertise with us. I had a blast meeting everyone.
