Lately I've really been wanting to travel for shoots and, surprisingly to me, Oklahoma has some really great locations. After some googling, I found that The Wichita Mountains near Lawton were only 3 hours from me – and living in a state as big as Texas, three hours is no big deal.
During the time I was looking for models to bring along, Don Nixon, a photographer who's work I really admire, direct messaged me and we ended up collaborating on some ideas for the shoot. He lives in Tulsa and works with several agencies there, so we agreed on times and dates and locations and it was set! We ended up spending five hours wandering the mountains and shooting with Lauren and Sara from Brink Model Management – it was absolutely amazing. These people are the real deal; so genuinely kind, loving, and dedicated to their work. Can't wait to work with them again in the future.
Making new friends and spending time photographing in nature has to be my favorite thing ever. SO excited about these photos.
Thanks to Brink, Don, Sara, and Lauren for making this shoot possible!! You guys rock.
